Let me show you how to open a pending order.
Make sure that “One-Click Trading” is turned off.
To open pending order window
right-click on the Market Watch window and choose “New Order”,
in the Depth of Market window press
“Sell” or “Buy” button
You can also click the “BUY” or “SELL” button in One Click Trading modal on the chart.
Choose a symbol you want to trade.
From the “Type:” menu choose “Pending order”.
Buy limit – this is a trade request to buy at the Buy price
that is equal to or lower than the price specified in the order.
Choose “Fill policy”
Set up activation price
Now choose the Expiration option.
A GTC (Good Till Cancelled) order will stay in the queue until it is manually canceled
A Today order will be valid only during the current trading day.
A Specified order will be valid until a certain date & time.
A Specified day order will be valid until 00:00 of a named day.
Once you set all necessary options the “Place” button will turn blue for BUY orders or red for SELL orders. Click it to place a pending order.
Sell Limit – a trade order to sell at the “Sell” price equal to or greater than the one specified in the order.
Buy Stop – a trade order to buy at the “Buy” price equal to or greater than the one specified in the order.
Sell Stop – a trade order to sell at the “Sell” price equal to or less than the one specified in the order.
Notice that the “Place” button is now grey,
which means you need to set some required options.
Buy Stop Limit – this type combines the two first types being a stop order for placing Buy Limit.
As soon as the future Buy price reaches the stop-level indicated in the order (the Price field),
a Buy Limit order will be placed at the level, specified in Stop Limit price field.
A stop level is set above the current Buy price, while Stop Limit price is set below the stop level.
Sell Stop Limit – this type is a stop order for placing Sell Limit.
As soon as the future Sell price reaches the stop-level indicated in the order (the Price field),
a Sell Limit order will be placed at the level, specified in Stop Limit price field.
A stop level is set below the current Sell price, while Stop Limit price is set above the stop level.
